Visit Georgia’s State Parks for free!
Are you interested in taking a trip to one of Georgia’s state parks this year? You can now borrow Georgia State Park Passes and Historic Site passes with a valid library card. These passes are good for free parking or admission at over 60 parks and historic sites statewide. All you have to do is present your library card to check out a Park Pass folder, which is valid for seven days. Folders include an annual Park Pass that exempts visitors from paying the daily parking fee at state parks, an annual Historic Site pass good for free admission for one visitor to any of Georgia’s 18 historic sites and a copy of the Guide to Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites featuring descriptions, photos, directions, and a map of all locations.

State Park Backpack
Georgia residents are able to check out a stuffed backpack kit at any of the state’s 400-plus public libraries and, in combination with an already available state ParkPass, take it with them on a free visit to any of Georgia’s State Parks & Historic Sites.
Each co-branded kit includes a sturdy, five-pocket backpack containing a pair of 5×30 binoculars, a guide to Georgia’s State Parks & Historic Sites and foldout Pocket Naturalist Guides to Georgia Wildlife, Georgia Birds and Georgia Trees & Wildflowers.
The loan period for the backpack kits is one week, matching that of the ParkPasses, which must be checked out separately.
Chehaw Park Pass
Check out the Chehaw Park Pass from any branch of the Southwest Georgia Regional Library. Present the park pass along with your checkout receipt at the Chehaw admission gate within 7 days. One pass/authorized receipt is good for free admission to the park and zoo for up to 6 people (up to 2 adults and up to 4 children ages 4 – 18; children under 4 are free).
Larger family groups must pay for any additional admissions required. The pass is due back to
the library 7 days after you check it out.
The pass must be presented at Chehaw within 7 days of checkout or renewal, if applicable. Chehaw is a rain-or-shine destination; there are no rain checks or make-up dates.
Go Fish Pass
Your PINES library card can get you and your family free access to the the Go Fish Education Center in Perry. The family passes, when presented with a valid library card, will be good for free admission to the center for up to four family members.
Zoo Atlanta Pass
Library patrons can now obtain Zoo Atlanta Passes at any library location! The pass is valid for up to three people. Simply check out a Zoo Atlanta DVD and return it to receive a pass. you must present your library card when you go to the zoo. The pass is redeemable Monday – Friday, and you still must present your library card when you go to the zoo. You have 4 weeks from the date the DVD was returned to redeem the pass. One pass is available per household per year. The pass is not valid for fee-based events or programs and may not be combined with other discounts or promotions. Standard general admission will apply to families with additional children. For blackout dates, please visit the Zoo Atlanta Pass program.
Michael C. Carlos Museum Pass
Georgia families are able to make a free visit to one of the most revered institutions in the state, the Michael C. Carlos Museum. Renowned for its collections of art from Egypt, the Near East, Greece, Rome, Africa, the Americas and Asia, as well as, works on paper from the Renaissance to the present, the museum provides every public library in Georgia with a pass that is valid for up to six free admissions–a potential savings of $48 per family. Residents with valid library cards can check out the passes at any library in our system.

Passport to Puppetry
With your valid library card, you can check out the Atlanta’s Center for Puppetry Arts’ new “Passport to Puppetry” at any participating public library in all 159 Georgia counties.
The “Passport to Puppetry” is valid for up to four free museum admissions — a potential savings of up to $33 per family. Parties with children must include at least one adult. The museum provides educational fun with more than 350 puppets from around the world, highlighting the fact that every civilization on our planet has its own unique form of puppetry tradition.
William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum Pass
This pass offers free admission for four people to the Breman Museum. Pass holders may be required to show identification. The pass can be checked out at the library’s circulation desk, and the checkout period is one week with the option of one renewal. The late fee is $3 per day.
The William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum is home to the permanent exhibit: “Absence of Humanity: The Holocaust Years 1933-1945” This permanent exhibition presents the history of the Holocaust through artifacts and stories of Atlanta area Holocaust Survivors.
Restrictions: This pass is valid only for general admission; it is not valid for events, tours or performances. The Breman Museum reserves the right to limit this pass to once per quarter per user.
Hours: Closed Saturday and various holidays. Check the website or call for schedule. Open Sunday through Thursday 10 AM to 5 PM. Open Friday 10 AM to 4PM.
Chattahoochee Nature Center Pass
Your library card gives you free access to the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell. Patrons can check out the pass just like any other library item. This pass is good for four people to get free general admission to the center.
Admission gives visitors the opportunity to experience picnicking, hiking trails, family fun days, aviaries with wild birds, concerts, and plenty of activities for all ages. CNC is open seven days a week, year-round. During summer months, CNC’s popular Butterfly Encounter is open every day, allowing guests to walk among hundreds of butterflies.
